Take a piece of Barnsley Resort home to your own garden during our annual plant sale. Our horticulturist has curated an extensive selection of plants from the renowned gardens at Barnsley Resort. Options range from vegetables and herbs grown right out of our gardens to established flowers, trees and bushes. A six-cell market basket is filled with different kinds of basil to incorporate into dishes in your own kitchen. Hanging baskets with a mixture of flowers to accent your patio are also available, complemented by a helpful brochure outlining “How to Create Sensational Pots and Planters,” including a list of deer tolerant plants.

Designing A Garden for Four Seasons of Pleasure: Lecture, Tour, Luncheon & Workshop
Spend the day with Erica Glasener, horticulturist, author and former host of “A Gardener’s Diary.” A brief illustrated lecture introduces examples of gardens in the U.S. and England of all sizes and styles with one thing in common: they offer interest during every season. During a walking tour through the resort’s historic gardens, she points out plants of interest that you can incorporate at home. After a luncheon served in Julia’s garden, bring photos of your own garden to a workshop where you can consult with Erica about design ideas and plants. She will also have examples of plants that may be purchased as well as her books including Proven Plants: Southern Gardens.

$55 for Lecture, Tour, Luncheon and Workshop
