Reservations Policies

Deposit & Cancellation Policy

Payment & Cancellation Information
A credit card deposit equal to 50% of the Room, Taxes and Resort Fee for your entire stay will be taken at the time of reservation. The remaining balance of room/package charges will be applied to the credit card on file on the day of Arrival

 Due to our size and location, cancellations affect us significantly. Therefore we adhere to a strict cancellation policy:
*Except for Holidays and Special Events, reservations for Rooms, Suites and Arbor Cottages may be canceled without charge up until seven (7) days prior to arrival. Reservations canceled less than seven (7) days prior to arrival will result in a forfeiture of the deposit. 

*Except for Holidays and Special Events, reservations for multi-bedroom cottages (Wheaton, Red House, Julia, Fugger, Adelaide, Kingston, Godfrey and all Manor Cottages) may be canceled without charge up until thirty (30) days prior to arrival. Reservations canceled less than thirty (30) days prior to arrival will result in a forfeiture of the deposit. 

Reservations for Holidays and Special Events require cancellation fourteen (14) days prior to arrival for Rooms, Suites and Arbor Cottages or sixty (60) days prior to arrival for multi-bedroom cottages (Wheaton, Red House, Julia, Fugger, Adelaide, Kingston, Godfrey and all Manor Cottages). *Included holidays are Valentine's Weekend, Thanksgiving Week and other dates as determined by the Resort.

The deposit may not be transferred to a future date. However, you are welcome to send a friend or family member in your place.

Acceptable Forms of Payment- The following major credit cards, as well as Travelers Check’s and cash are acceptable forms of payment.

Arrival and Departure Times
Check-in time begins at 3:00 pm and Checkout ends at 11:00 am.
  Luggage pick-up and storage is available for guests who wish to enjoy the property before arrival or after checkout.

We cannot grant an early check-in in advance. If you require an early check-in you may reserve your room for the evening prior to guarantee room availability.  

We cannot grant a late checkout in advance. If you require a late checkout, one may be granted on the day of departure at the discretion of the Front Office management or staff on duty.  Fees may be assessed for late checkouts. 

Maximum Occupancy & Extra Person Charges
Barnsley Resort does not offer portable bedding. Please reserve accommodation types with the appropriate occupancy limits or, for larger parties, reserve multiple accommodations. 

Sofa Sleepers available in a limited number of Suites and Arbor Cottages. A $25 fee will be charged daily for use of a sofa sleeper, per sofa, or for additional bedding (based on bedding request). Please inquire about sofa sleepers at time of reservation if needed. Sofa sleeper availability not guaranteed without advance notice.

Pack and plays may be provided at no additional charge, based on availability.

For Reservations Using Gift Certificates

A credit card deposit equal to $100 per night reserved will be taken at the time of reservation. Cancellations not made in accordance with the Cancellation Policy above will result in a forfeiture of deposit.


Please remember to bring your gift certificate with you, as this is your method of payment for the items it includes. If no certificate is presented as payment, room charges will be assessed at the Rack Rate. Lost or mislaid certificates cannot be replaced or redeemed. Also, please read your certificate closely to ensure it is valid for the dates you have reserved.

 

Packages 
All package components (spa, horseback riding, golf, etc.) must be reserved in advance. No refunds will be given for package components due to lack of availability. Alcoholic beverages and additional gratuities are not included in package meals. 

 

Smoking & Pets
All resort accommodations are Smoke-Free. Please secure an accommodation with a porch for smoking and we will be happy to provide ashtrays for your use outside. 

Here at Barnsley pets are guests too! Pets are allowed to stay with their owners in a limited number of Suites and Arbor Cottages and also in our  Red House, Wheaton and Fugger Cottages. A pet cleaning fee of $75-150 will be charged for each suite or cottage occupied by a pet.   

A fee of no less than $150 per bedroom room will be charged to guests in violation of our No Smoking policy or with pets in accommodations designated as Pet Free.  

Kitchens and Wet bars

A limited number of cottages feature pantry kitchens.  These kitchens contain refrigerator storage and ice machines. All other accommodations feature a wet bar and mini-refrigerator with coffee/tea service for your convenience.  No personal cooking or use of personal cooking appliances or grills is permitted in or outside of accommodations to ensure fire safety.  Microwaves are available upon request, based on availability, with a $30 nightly fee.  Should you wish to grill outside of your cottage, our catering department can arrange for a grill and grill attendant to cater your private event.


Activity Policies
All activity and spa reservations require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations. All outdoor activities will take place in the event of light rain. Cancellations within 24 hours or failure to appear on the day of the activity or spa treatment will result in a 100% charge for activities/services scheduled.

Group activity, spa and hunting cancellation policies may vary. 

Additional Charges & Gratuity Policy

Meals, lounge charges, activities, services & merchandise are additional unless specified in promotion or package offer.

Gratuities are automatically added to the following items:
A la carte food and beverages- 20% Gratuity
Spa Services- 20% 
All other gratuities are at the discretion of the guest.
