A SouthernWedding Tradition
Couples planning to wed at Barnsley Resort take part in the unique Southern tradition of "Burying the Bourbon," intended to keep the rain away on the big day. About a month before their wedding day (or on the day of their menu tasting), the wedding couple buries a wrapped bottle of bourbon upside down in the designated Tipsy Garden. On the night of the rehearsal dinner, the bourbon is unearthed for the enjoyment of the couple and wedding party as they toast to a beautiful wedding day ahead. "Burying the Bourbon" is offered complimentary to couples planning both their wedding reception and rehearsal dinner at Barnsley Resort.
