Dog Days of Summer
12 - 4 p.m.
Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer at Barnsley Resort with a tail-wagging day of fun for pups and their people. Capture special memories with dog portrait mini sessions at the Manor House Ruins with CM Bryson Photography. Treat your pup to specialty biscuits from Big Daddy Dog Biscuits, refreshing pupsicles and a Crew La La pop-up shop. Enjoy a lively dog park in the Fugger Cabin Meadow, complete with frisbees and refreshing puppy pools. The festivities continue with a Yappy Hour featuring Lucky One Lemonade and live music from Scott Thompson.
Dog Portrait Mini Sessions | $75 per session
Two pups will be scheduled per 30-minute session. Each dog/dog family will have their own 15-minute session within the half hour timeslot. Event organizers will follow up prior to the event to confirm your specific photography time window. Price excludes tax and 20% service charge. 50% of mini session proceeds will be donated to a select nonprofit.

Maison Venu Block Printing Workshop

Join Maison Venu’s Founder & Creative Director, Olivia Massie Brown for a hands-on blockprinting workshop. Focused on gifting and gathering, attendees will get to try their hand at blockprinting while also learning more about the storied Indian craft technique. Olivia is a trained textile designer who lived and worked in India before starting her career. While there, she learned from master artisans, training right alongside men and women who have been mixing colors, cutting blocks, printing textiles and hand finishing products for generations. The workshop will begin with a brief overview of blockprinting and a demonstration from Olivia on how to ink the wooden blocks – many of which are from Maison Venu’s line – and print on various substrates: paper and canvas. Designed to be lively, creative and collaborative, each participant will create a range of printed pieces that will add oomph to both tablesettings and hostess gifting this holiday season. From canvas wine totes to placecards, gift tags, menu cards and more, we hope you’ll consider snagging a spot on what is sure to be a fabulous kick off to Art of Entertaining: Design Symposium!
