Pet Friendly Bring Along Your Furry Friend

Luxury vacations aren't just for people. At Barnsley Resort, we share the pet love with our four-legged friends, too. From hiking to dining "out," Barnsley Resort is an ideal getaway for dog lovers with more than 3,000 acres of natural beauty. Hike the historic grounds highlighted by architectural ruins and landscaped gardens, or snuggle fireside during the colder months in a cozy cottage living room. It's enough to make pet lovers want to stay awhile.

Pet Friendly Resort

There is no better place in Georgia to travel with furry family members. Pet friendly accommodations include select cottage suites with a mandatory one-time (per stay) non-refundable pet fee of $195 or $295 for multi-bedroom cottages. (Kindly note that pets are not allowed in the accommodations in the Inn at Barnsley Resort and select other cottages.) Up to two (2) pets are permitted to stay with their owners in pet-friendly accommodations.

Included with the pet fee are amenities including our signature exclusive Crew LaLa x Barnsley Resort seasonal bandana* and dog treats. (Maximum two bandanas per stay.) As featured by Southern Living and on The Today Show, Crew LaLa creates stylish, handmade bow tie and belle bow collars, bandanas, leashes and more from their home in Charleston, South Carolina. Crew LaLa collars and leashes are also available to purchase in the Outpost. *Bandana included with mandatory pet fee for future stays with reservations made June 1, 2024 or later. (Maximum two pets per pet friendly accommodation.)"

There are no pet weight limits at Barnsley Resort. While we do not require pets to be crated, we do require that all dogs stay on leashes. All of our public areas are open to pets, with the exception of the spa, fitness center, pool area and indoor restaurants (due to local health codes).

With more than 10 miles of hiking trails and beautiful gardens to explore, outdoor sitting areas with fire pits, lawn games and outdoor dining on the front porch of Woodlands Grill or in the Beer Garden on weekends, your four-legged friend is certain to feel like a pampered pooch.

Barnsley Resort follows the ADA (American Disabilities Act) definition of service animals. If traveling with a service animal, it must be under the handler's control at all times and may not be left unattended at any time. Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals according to the ADA and will be subject to all policies and fees associated with non-service animals.

We know all animals aren't as lucky as our four-legged resort guests. In honor of our pet friendly nature, we make a quarterly donation to the Etowah Valley Humane Society which provides humane treatment for animals in need.
