Independence Day Celebrations

June 02, 2018

We’re excited to celebrate the red, white and blue in July with all-American, small-town celebrations in Adairsville and Cartersville. Kicking off celebrations Saturday, June 30, Adairsville will host its annual Patriotic Concert showcasing the 116th Army Band at the historic downtown Train Depot Gazebo. Later in the day, Manning Mill Park will treat visitors and residents to Fireworks in the Park from 5 to 9:30 P.M., featuring more live music, food vendors, games for kids, and, of course, a spectacular fireworks display. On July 4 itself, you can hop over to nearby Cartersville for the festive 9 A.M. Fourth of July Parade, followed by a full day of music, games, arts and crafts, and fireworks at Dellinger Park.

After the bustle of Independence Day celebrations, consider recharging with a laidback, fun, and informative visit to the Booth Western Art Museum or the Tellus Science Museum. Located in downtown Cartersville, the Booth is home to a massive collection of Western art and artifacts (and by “Western,” we mean the Wild Wild American West). The Tellus features extensive exhibits on fossils, geological phenomena, and transportation technology, plus a theater, observatory, planetarium, and more.

A Day in Adairsville

May 09, 2018

We call Adairsville, Georgia home. Known as a “Norman Rockwell” type of town, our surrounding area is full of rich American history. Spend a day outside of the resort and get to know a little about the city, the first town in Georgia to be included on the National Register of Historic Places. That’s right. The entire town. Your first stop should be the depot at Adairsville that dates back to 1891. Serving as the official welcome center, the depot offers daily tours and admission is free. It’s truly the epicenter of the town.

Start and end your day at 1902 Stock Exchange & Maggie's Tea Room Cafe. Grab a hot tea or coffee and peruse a selection of collectibles, antiques, books, and jewelry. The Cafe is also open for lunch. Stick around for the evening and catch dinner and a show at the upstairs theater that will take you back in time. Plan your day in Adairsville now
