Maison Venu Block Printing Workshop

Join Maison Venu’s Founder & Creative Director, Olivia Massie Brown for a hands-on blockprinting workshop. Focused on gifting and gathering, attendees will get to try their hand at blockprinting while also learning more about the storied Indian craft technique. Olivia is a trained textile designer who lived and worked in India before starting her career. While there, she learned from master artisans, training right alongside men and women who have been mixing colors, cutting blocks, printing textiles and hand finishing products for generations. The workshop will begin with a brief overview of blockprinting and a demonstration from Olivia on how to ink the wooden blocks – many of which are from Maison Venu’s line – and print on various substrates: paper and canvas. Designed to be lively, creative and collaborative, each participant will create a range of printed pieces that will add oomph to both tablesettings and hostess gifting this holiday season. From canvas wine totes to placecards, gift tags, menu cards and more, we hope you’ll consider snagging a spot on what is sure to be a fabulous kick off to Art of Entertaining: Design Symposium!

Celebrate the start of the festive season with a family friendly holiday celebration, counting down to the official lighting of the Barnsley Resort Village. Enjoy visits with Santa, seasonal refreshments, hands-on crafts for kids and live music surrounding the center of the village.
Overnight resort guests and members enjoy complimentary access. Parking passes required for off-property visitors only and will be available for purchase at a later date.
