Dramatic Autumn Wedding

A dramatic autumn luxury wedding at Barnsley Resort, recently featured by Modern Luxury Nashville, showcased a complete weekend celebration. The couple wanted a property where guests could stay a few days at and enjoy onsite activities, within a short drive from Nashville and within an hour of a major airport. For activities, having the spa, golf, restaurants, horseback riding, sporting grounds, fishing and more for guests to enjoy throughout their stay create a memorable wedding weekend. Also key to the decision? The couple wanted a property that had the ability to build out a structure for the reception to create a complete luxury wedding experience.

From a design standpoint, the bride was drawn to more modern elements while the groom loved a more traditional setting. The ceremony and cocktail hour was held at the Manor House Ruins, creating the perfect backdrop to fuse the old with the new. Guests then transitioned to a glass “tent” structure, where the bride’s modern and clean aesthetic took center stage with a cream and black color palette, accented by various shades of green.

To bring the reception to life, the couple worked with their talented design team for custom bars, banquettes, chairs and tables along with dramatic lighting that highlighted the vast structure.

Guests were welcomed into the structure with expansive greenery lining the stairs, with additional botanical installs up the sidewalls to balance the eye-catching centerpieces throughout the space and impressive floral install over the dance floor. The resort’s autumn foliage created a natural backdrop for the couple’s unforgettable evening.
