Lantern Tour

Join us for an enchanting guided history tour of the Manor House Ruins, museum and historic gardens at Barnsley Resort. Discover the captivating and sometimes tragic love story of Godfrey and Julia Barnsley, along with intriguing tales of their descendants and the unique legacy of Woodlands. Led by a knowledgeable expert, this interactive tour immerses you in the resort’s rich history. Adults will enjoy two signature cocktails, while children are invited to join the fun in their Halloween best. End the evening with s’mores around a cozy fire, all while surrounded by the enchanting ambiance of the ruins.

It’s a celebration of Cork & Pork as we celebrate with our friends Rusty’s Bar-B-Q (Birmingham, AL) and Prisoner Wine Company. Join us as Rusty, an active member of the Southern Foodways Alliance, smokes a whole hog in the Biergarten’s custom-built J&R Smoker before a center of the village celebration complete with exciting selections from Napa Valley’s guest favorite Prisoner Wine Company to complement a traditional barbeque feast.

Garden & Gun Annual Shoot
Join Garden & Gun and Cartersville Museum City in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains for the thirteenth Annual Shoot. Located at the iconic Beretta Shooting Grounds, historic Barnsley Resort hosts participants for a friendly 15-station, 100-round sporting clays tournament. Afterwards, guests are invited to celebrate with cocktails, rosé from Rose Gold Wine, and a Southern lunch and awards ceremony at the shooting grounds pavilion.

Village Lighting Celebration

Celebrate the start of the festive season with a family friendly holiday celebration, counting down to the official lighting of the Barnsley Resort Village. Enjoy visits with Santa, seasonal refreshments, hands-on crafts for kids and live music surrounding the center of the village. Plus, enjoy rides on the Barnsley Resort Holiday Train Presented by Cartersville Museum City.
Parking passes required for off-property visitors only. Overnight resort guests and members enjoy complimentary access.

Train rides are approximately 10 minutes long and depart every hour. Guests will have the opportunity to take photos with the conductor and train for a memorable experience.
