Jules Restaurant
Opening late summer, Jules is the newest culinary experience at Barnsley Resort, presented by celebrated Chef Shaun Doty and the resort’s acclaimed culinary team. Set in a lovingly restored 19th-century farmhouse (formerly the Rice House) with interiors reimagined by renowned Charleston architecture and design firm David Thompson Studio (perhaps best known for Charleston's FIG and The Ordinary, Kiawah Island Club's oceanfront B-Liner and Indaco at Ponce City Market in Atlanta), Jules invites guests to gather, linger and savor a seasonal journey inspired by travel, rustic Southern ingredients and the bold simplicity of wood-fired cooking.
More than a restaurant, Jules is a warm and welcoming place where time slows, conversation flows and every detail is designed to delight, particularly in the newly expanded bar and cocktail lounge. Jules is open for dinner, Wednesday through Saturday, beginning in late August. For dining reservations, please call 770.773.7480 ext. 1.Resort Family Pool
The new Resort Family Pool, opening in late summer, is certain to be a popular place to splash and play. Designed with a zero-entry layout, it’s perfect for guests of all ages to enjoy. Features include a winding lazy river with an activity island and corkscrew water slide, creating an ideal setting for summertime enjoyment. Seven cabanas provide a haven for families to rest and recharge before heading back for more fun.
The addition of the resort family pool is a complement to the renovations of the resort’s existing pool that debuted in May. An expanded pool deck and the eight new cabanas with televisions, lounge seating, refrigerators and custom chaise lounge covers by Atlanta-based Weezie towels create a welcoming pool experience for resort guests and members.Himalayas Putting Green
This summer, a 14-hole Himalayas putting course with a four-hole putting green, designed by Bergin Golf Design from Atlanta, makes its debut adjacent to the Fazio golf course. The combined 18-hole experience will be available starting late summer and will be an “always included” amenity for resort guests and members, with evening and team-building programs available for corporate and social groups.
Exciting New Resort Projects
We are thrilled to share some exciting updates about resort projects and developments which are nearing completion. These new amenities continue on the heels of resort improvements and enhancements made in 2024 including the well-received cottage renovation featured by Travel + Leisure, Forbes, Southern Living and more.
As we continue to elevate the guest experience, we are pleased to share updates about even more additions to the Barnsley Resort experience on the cusp of completion this summer.
These exciting projects continue a phase of expansion and elevation for Barnsley Resort to follow the 2024 remodel of the 39 free-standing cottages, inclusive of 85 guest rooms and suites, by Charlotte Lucas Design, a Charlotte-based firm known for its bold use of color and whimsical detail. Other recently completed renovation projects included the introduction of six pickleball courts, a reimagined and newly built Biergarten, and upgrades to the Beretta Shooting Grounds.
