Spa FAQ's
When should I make my appointment?
Spa services are always very popular with our guests. We strongly recommend making your Spa appointments when you make your room reservation, as appointments for services are subject to availability.
To make your Spa appointment:
- Within the resort, dial ext. 2300
- Outside the resort, call 770.773.2465.
What are the Spa's hours of operation?

Is there a cancellation policy?
Yes. All services are reserved specifically for you based on availability. In order to best accommodate our guests, we require a 24-hour notice for any changes and/or cancellations. A cancellation fee of 50% of your scheduled services(s) will be charged for cancellations made less than 24 hours. We regret that a lack of any notification will result in a full billing of your scheduled services(s).
Is there an age requirement?
Generally, guests must be 18 years of age to use spa facilities. No person under the age of 12 will be permitted in the spa at any time. Teens between the ages of 12-17 will be permitted for these select services: Relaxing Manicure, Relaxing Pedicure and Teen Facial. Teens are not permitted in the locker rooms, steam rooms, saunas or whirlpool areas and must be accompanied by an adult.
Are there any additional service charges?
For your convenience, a 20% gratuity will be added on to each service upon check-out. Additional gratuities are appreciated but not expected.
Why am I being told that I should check in at least 15 minutes before my appointment time?
To allow you time to make use of our amenities/facility, we recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your first treatment. Arriving late for your appointment may result in a shortened service.
What if I'd like to visit the Spa without staying on property?
The Spa at Barnsley Gardens is available to "Day Guests". You will have full use of the steam, sauna and co-ed whirlpool facilities one hour prior to your appointment(s) and one hour after your appointment(s). Our pool area is limited to members and resort guest only.
Does the Spa serve food and beverages?
Yes, we have a spa menu. You have the choice of eating at the spa (with limited space) or walking over to our Woodlands Grill to have lunch.
What should I expect if this is my first time to a Spa?
As a spa guest, it is your responsibility to communicate your preferences, expectations and concerns to the therapist. If you have any health concerns it is very important to communicate that information to the therapist, so we can provide you with the best service possible.
If I would like to purchase a gift certificate for a friend or loved one, does The Spa at Barnsley Gardens offer this?
Yes. This is a great way to introduce others to their own path of relaxation. Certificates are available for all dollar values or service combinations. Reservations for services must be made in advance and are subject to availability. Certificates must be presented at the time of check-in and are not redeemable for cash or other substitutions.
How would I go about purchasing a Spa gift certificate?
Please contact The Spa at Barnsley Gardens during our regular business hours at 770-773-2465. We would need a major credit card for all phone orders, with an authorization from you via email, or you can purchase a certificate in person with a major credit card or cash.
What if I am not able to get to the spa to pick up the gift certificate?
The Spa at Barnsley Gardens would be happy to mail certificates to you, we can have them ready for pick-up, or we can keep it on file at the spa for your convenience. Unfortunately, we will not be able to fax gift certificates.
Does the gift certificate have an expiration date?
Yes. From the date of purchase, the guest has one year to come and relax with us.
Does The Spa at Barnsley Gardens accommodate group reservations?
Yes. Accommodations are made and reserved on a first come, first served basis. When scheduling with the Resort or Group Coordinator, it is advisable to schedule your group spa appointments at that time. Special instructions will be arranged for you and your group at that time.
Spa Etiquette
While visiting The Spa at Barnsley Gardens please respect the quiet and privacy of other Spa guests by refraining from using all electronic equipment, and we ask that you speak softly while inside the Spa. The Spa at Barnsley Gardens is a non-smoking facility.
What to Bring
Wear comfortable clothing (Spa wear) when visiting. We recommend you bring a swim suit for use of our steam, sauna, and co-ed whirlpool areas. Upon arrival, we will provide you with a robe, slippers, and towels for use while at the spa. We also have hair care products and hair dryers for our spa guests. We recommend you that you not bring jewelry to The Spa, as we cannot secure these or other valuables.
