Whether you're an experienced hospitality professional or new to the industry, it’s helpful to know the structure of the many diverse departments at Barnsley Resort.

Accounting

Our accounting department oversees all financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable. In addition, IT (information technology) is folded into the accounting department.

Culinary

Our guests expect exceptional cuisine when dining in our restaurants or at one of their special events. Our culinary team includes prep cooks, line cooks, sous chefs, chef de cuisines, banquets chefs and our executive chef.

Food & Beverage

Our food & beverage team includes hosts, servers, server assistants, bartenders and supervisory roles in our three restaurants (Woodlands Grill, Rice House and Beer Garden). They also provide seasonal food and beverage service poolside. The banquets department includes servers, bartenders and set up specialists who orchestrate our meetings and other special events including weddings.

Engineering

A talented and experienced engineering team includes painters, carpenters, HVAC specialists and other specialists who ensure our award-winning resort is maintained to the level our guests expect at Barnsley Resort.

Golf

The Fazio Course is an award-winning, par 72 golf course that spans more than 378 acres of rolling hillsides and forests. Our golf team includes cart barn attendants, golf shop and golf professionals. 

Guest Services

Our guest services colleagues often provide the first welcome to guests when they arrive at the resort and are a key resource for guests throughout their stay. This team includes gatehouse attendants, bell staff and guest services/front desk agents and night audit. 

Housekeeping

One of the most important roles in any hotel or resort is housekeeping, responsible for daily cleaning and turndown service for each of our guest rooms and suites as well as many of our public areas. Room and public area attendants, supervisors contribute to this vital part of providing the Barnsley Resort experience.

Human Resources

The human resources team is responsible for hiring and recruitment, training and education, benefits, payroll and more for all team members. 

Land Management

Grounds care and maintenance of our historic gardens and golf course and resort village landscaping all support the land management department.

Recreation

With almost 3,000 acres of North Georgia’s natural playground at our disposal, our recreation team supports our extensive outdoor activities programs. Sporting clays trappers, hunting guides, trail guides and equestrian guides deliver some of our most popular experiences. In addition, activities coordinators oversee team-building programs and other special activities.

Reservations

The reservations department is responsible for making overnight room reservations, dining reservations and activity reservations for leisure, group, wedding guests and day visitors. Telephone operators (PBX) are also part of the reservations team, providing a warm first impression to callers.

Sales & Marketing

Our sales & marketing team includes group sales, weddings, conference services and marketing.

Spa

The Spa at Barnsley Resort offers a tranquil respite with a menu of services including massages, facials and body treatments. Licensed massage therapists and aestheticians are trained experts who perform these services for our guests. In addition, spa coordinators make appointments and check guests in and out for their treatments.
