Helpful Tips for Your Visit

To make the most of your visit to The Spa at Barnsley Resort, we recommend you review the following guidelines and policies to ensure a relaxing spa experience.

As a courtesy to all guests, no cell phones are permitted in The Spa.

All prices are subject to change without notice.

A 20% gratuity will be added to each service upon checkout.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. Adjustments will not be made for late arrivals.

Appointment Scheduling
All appointments are booked based on availability.

Cancel or Reschedule Appointment
We require a 24-hour notice for any changes and/ or cancellations. A fee of 50% of your scheduled service(s) will be charged for cancellations made less than 24 hours. We regret that a lack of any notification will result in a full billing of your scheduled service(s).

When scheduling with the Resort or Group Coordinator, it is advisable to schedule your group’s spa appointments at that time. A special cutoff date will be arranged for you and your group, and a cancellation policy will be established at that time.

Facility Use
You must be 18 years of age to use the spa andits facilities. Facilities include women’s and men’s steam rooms and saunas as well as a co-ed whirlpool. Spa facilities are alcohol free. Overnight guests, members and spa guests may enjoy the co-ed whirlpool and steam rooms during The Spa reception hours. Use of lockers and showers are for spa guests and members only.

Gift Certificates
Certificates are available for dollar values or service combinations. They must be presented at the time of check-in and are not redeemable for cash or other substitutions, nor are they extended beyond the expiration date. We can mail certificates to you, or we can have them ready for pickup.

Medical Concerns
Please inform us of any medical or special needs you may have. If you are pregnant or have any
medical concerns, please consult your physician before visiting The Spa. Massages and body
treatments are recommended for those in their second or third trimester only. Please refrain from
alcohol or medication two hours prior to your spa appointment.

For Your Safety
It is our responsibility to provide the most appropriate and safe services for all our guests. Please be sure to inform your service provider if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, heart ailments or any condition that may prohibit your taking heat, massage or skin care therapies. It is also very important to disclose if you have any food, medicine, or product allergies prior to your service. You are responsible for advising your therapist if you are taking medications, or experiencing health related concerns that are contraindicated for our services. Please avoid sun exposure and use of steam room directly following skin care therapy. We also encourage you not to shave immediately prior to treatments. Massages and body treatments are not recommended for those in their first trimester. We discourage alcohol consumption prior to or immediately following spa treatments. We reserve the right to refuse services for guests who appear to be intoxicated. Guests will be charged for the full service.
