In 1966, Orvis opened the country’s first fly-fishing school and since that time, it has introduced more than 35,000 anglers to this rewarding sport. Barnsley Gardens Resort is privileged to offer the Orvis Fly-Fishing School, where you will learn the Orvis Method of casting. The skills you learn will assist you in any type of fishing in any conditions, for years to come. Guest may also fish on their own on our ponds and lakes. Self-Guided Fishing
- $45 Per Person per day, Orvis Pond
- $25 Per Person, Property Ponds, Valid for the Duration of your Stay
- Artificial Lures Only and Catch and Release Only
- Rod Rental - Fly or Spin Rods $15 Per Day
- Orvis Flies available for purchase in the Pro Shop
Policies
- An adult must accompany children up to 14 years
- Recommended attire
- Comfortable loose clothing (shorts are acceptable)
- Flat, rubber-soled shoes, hiking boots or sandals
- Advance reservations required
- 24-hour change/cancel notice applies; failure to show will result in full billing
