The Rice House Restaurant, is a restored 1854 farmhouse, that was formerly the home of Fleming Rice and his family. Bullet holes from a Civil War battle in 1864 still scar the front exterior wall. The log building, that was formerly residing in Rome, Georgia, was moved a few miles to Barnsley Gardens in 1994. As Barnsley's formal dining restaurant, The Rice House offers two private dining rooms. Each private room can accommodate up to 20 guests. There is also a full dining room that can seat 90 comfortably. There is also a glass enclosed dining porch that is overlooking the beautiful Historic Barnsley Manor House Ruins and Gardens. The centerpiece of the main dining room is the building's original stone fireplace. The Rice House is open Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30 pm until
10 pm. Advanced reservations are recommended. Please call Cheryl
Jones at 770.773.2522 to make your reservations. A la Carte and Group Dining Policies for Restaurants A la carte dining is available only for groups of 12 or less, and based on availability.
